Is it getting too expensive to be in the know with games?
Think about all the exclusive titles Sony has, and all the handhelds, etc. etc. coming out the cheapest being 200 dollars (referring to the 3DS, but it started at 250),

But the PS Vita is coming out this coming year, and so will the next generation of consoles.
Is it all a bit much/too soon for next generation already?

Hey man, I still like my good old fashioned books

Of course I feel things are coming too fast, but we wont be able to slow anything down

Gaming got too expensive for me ages ago. All of these consoles and new games, and the games themselves jumping up to $60 with the past generation was really the final nail in the coffin for me. When the price of a new game could buy me decent food for at least a week, it's really hard to justify.

Gaming has also gotten too expensive in the sense of time...there's no way I'm investing the hundreds of hours into a game like Skyrim, and it seems like big 50+ hour sprawling games are pretty standard now so...nevermind the time reading up on gaming news to stay informed... I have a life and work to do, not to mention finding time to sleep somewhere inbetween...that kind of timesink just isn't an option

I actually disagree with you. Yes $60 may buy me food for a week, but a $60 game like skyrim may buy my weeks of fun adventuring

Lucky me I was a pirate and just 'found' a copy of skyrim on the internet somewhere
